Andy,
There’s something about you I can’t quite explain, and maybe I don’t really want to.
You’re thoughtful in a way that sneaks up on me. Easy to talk to. Honest. A nice guy, but not the boring kind. The rare kind. The kind that makes people feel safe just by being in the room.
You’re a dad. You’ve lived. You’ve seen heartbreak and beauty side by side, and it shows in the way you move through the world. Steady, but still open.
And that little alfalfa streak in your hair makes me smile every time. So does that quiet James Dean thing you do when you lean back like you’re in your own movie.
We talk like the world is made of something warmer than most people ever find. And it feels rare. It feels real. It feels easy.
And honestly, I’ve never felt that before like this.
It’s not just physical, though yes, you’ve definitely undone something in me there too. But more than that, it’s the way I feel seen. Like I don’t have to edit myself. Like I can just exist as I am, fully, without shrinking or translating.
Like we’ve both been through enough to recognize something worth paying attention to.
I know I can be intense sometimes. I feel deeply. I speak my mind. But with you, that doesn’t feel like too much. And it doesn’t seem like too much for you either. That matters more than I can say.
Maybe it’s early. Maybe it’s a little strange how natural this feels. But maybe that’s what happens when two people finally meet and just fit. Not perfectly. But honestly.
I care about you, Andy.
And I don’t need all the answers right now. I just want to stay in this feeling a little longer. Keep talking. Keep laughing. Keep seeing where it goes.
Because you, exactly as you are, are kind of amazing.
